Horror lies in the psyche, not the eyes. Ram Gopal Varma's Bhoot is a supernatural thriller set in Mumbai. Vishal (Ajay Devgan) is a stock analyst happily married to Swati (Urmila Matondkar). They want to move into the 12th floor of a skyscraper. But there is a lot more to the apartment than is apparent to the couple. The previous occupant plunged to death from its balcony.

But Vishal does not believe in the supernatural and the couple shift into the apartment. Swati, who is unaware of the apartment's history, starts having nightmarish nights. She has disturbing visions which lead to a nervous breakdown. A helpless Vishal seeks help for Swati. Will he drive away the bhoot in Swati's head?
