A rich businessman and a patriarch (Amitabh Bachchan) rules over a joint family consisting of his wife (Raakhee), his two children (Juhi Chawla and Akshay Kumar) and their spouses (Mohnish Behl and Karishma Kapoor respectively). The film profiles the different relationships within the family.
